Abstract
484,102. Valve amplifying circuits. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd., and ROCHE, A. H. Oct. 30, 1936, No. 29553. [Class 40 (v)] In a negative feed-back amplifier in which the input and output are substantially in phase a resistance having its ends connected to the cathode and ground is employed and arranged in series with the input or output impedance of the amplifier. A further resistance is connected between the grounded cathode and the output or input impedance and a condenser is connected directly between the ungrounded terminals of the resistances. Fig. 1 shows resistances R9, RIO in series with the input and output impedances and a feed-back condenser C8. Fig. 3 shows a bridge in the output R11, R12, R13 with the load across one diagonal and the feedback path across the other diagonal. In a modification, Fig. 2 (not shown) one side of the input circuit and the cathode of the second valve is earthed instead of the junction of resistances R11, R12 and the cathode of the first valve.
