Abstract

474,133. Valve amplifying circuits. PHILCO RADIO & TELEVISION CORPORATION. March 5, 1937, No. 6622. Convention date, March 23, 1936. [Class 40 (v)] In a push-pull amplifier of the class A or class A-B type, the input electrode g1 of one valve V2 is supplied with signals over a condenser C1, frequency discriminating network or other circuit from an auxiliary electrode g2 of the other valve V1. Preferably the valves are pentodes. Where maximum output is desired, and a certain quantity of even harmonics can be tolerated, signals supplied to V2 may be up to 25 per cent larger than those supplied to V1. In that case, resistance R4 may be omitted. Examples are given in the Specification of values of the circuit components.
