Abstract
453,400. Valve amplifying circuits. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd., and ARMSTRONG, L. J. HEATON-, 63, Aldwych, London. Jan. 24, 1936, No. 2296. [Class 40 (v)] In an amplifier using screen grid valves coupling between the input and output circuits is reduced by arranging these circuits across opposite diagonals of a bridge, one branch of which is the impedance of the screen-cathode connection. Fig. 2 shows an arrangement in which the bridge comprises the anode screen capacity, the condenser 13 and the inductance of the leads 11, 12. Fig. 3 shows an arrangement in which the bridge is re-arranged and the control-grid screen capacity is used. The inductance 12 is preferably matched to that of the screen-cathode connection by similar arrangement as to shape and location.
