Abstract
456,062. Valve amplifying circuits. FROST, F. G., and HALCYON RADIO, Ltd., Sterling Works, Dagenham, Essex. March 28, 1935, No. 9714. [Class 40 (v)] Valve amplifiers for use in sound transmission and in television, of the kind employing intervalve couplings impermeable to direct current, have their frequency response modified by inserting an impedance in the cathode lead of one valve and connecting it to the cathode circuit of a preceding valve. As shown, the output pentode valve 2 has in its cathode lead a condenser 5 shunted by a divided resistance 4 of which the lower section may be of the variable pre-set type. The junction 6 is connected through a condenser 8 to the cathode 9 of the preceding valve 1. A grid leak 7 is inserted between the pentode input grid and the junction 6.
