Abstract
373,145. Valve amplifying circuits. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd., Marconi House, Strand, London, and KEALL, O. E., 32, Rainsford Avenue, Chelmsford, Essex. Feb. 16, 1931, No. 4848. [Class 40 (v).] In a resistance coupled amplifier, particularly adapted for use with television signals, the output from one valve to the succeeding valve is controlled bv a condenser C connected between the cathode and a tapping T on the anode resistance R. The impedance of the resistance R between the anode and the tapping in the minimum position is large relative to that of the condenser C at the working frequency to avoid frequency distortion. A decoupling resistance ar is preferably provided and the junction of the two resistances may be connected to the cathode through an additional decoupling condenser C1. The amplifier may be galvanically coupled, Fig. 3 (not shown), and indirectly heated valves may be used.
