Abstract

425,592. Thermionic valves. RADIOAKT.-GES. D. S. LOEWE, 10, Wiesenweg, Steglitz, and KAPTEYN, P., 5, Schwalbacherstrasse, Friedenau, both in Berlin. June 12, 1933, No. 16700. Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Dec. 18, 1933]. [Classes 39 (i) and 40 (v)] A valve for use in a receiving circuit in which the back-coupling and amplifying circuits are separated, has a cathode, two anodes and one or two grids. One anode may be a cylinder 2, Fig. 2, surrounding the grid 4 and cathode 5, and the other anode may be a rod or wire 3. Another grid may be mounted between the grid 4 and the anodes, or between the anodes. In the circuit shown in Fig. 1, the input 6, 7 is connected between the grid 4 and the cathode 5, and the back-coupling 8, 9 between the anode 2 and the cathode. A resistance 11 of 200,000 ohms shunted by a condenser 10 of large capacity is connected in the back-coupling circuit. The anode 3 is connected with the amplifying circuit, the resistance 12 being 3 megohms or more.
