465,141. Television. RADIOAKT.-GES. D. S. LOEWE. Nov. 2, 1935, No. 30316. Convention date, Nov. 6, 1934. [Class 40 (iii)] A valve 12 in a receiver, synchronized by signals corresponding to white, is coupled to an auxiliary electrode 5 in a cathode-ray tube 4 by an anode circuit 30 giving an effective amplification at the frequency of the linesynchronizing signals such that the effect on the ray of the normal controlling-electrode 3 is overcome and the ray is reduced to zero. The synchronizing-signals are separated from the image signals by the grid-cathode circuit 15, 18, which is coupled through a resistance 28 to the lead 1 traversed by signals representing the image. The grid current is used to obtain both a regulating bias for the associated amplifier and the bias for separating the synchronizing-signals, which are thus of constant amplitude. The anode lead 30 is of low capacity and is taken out through the bulb .of the valve. The value of the blocking-potential in the anode circuit is determined by the bias on a screening-grid 14 and is made independent of the operating level of the bias on the controlling-grid by a suppressing-grid 13.
