468,905. Television. RADIOAKT.- GES. D. S. LOEWE. Aug. 4,1936, No. 21451. Convention date, Aug. 5, 1935. [Class 40 (iii)] Signal peaks (e.g. synchronizing signals) passing through a condenser 9 are used to maintain the correct level of the signals by connecting a two-electrode valve 10 across the associated leak 4, and means are provided to counteract the deleterious effect of the load 2 (e.g. a wireless transmitter). (1) The loss in correction due to the load is compensated by applying to the diode 10 a greater signal voltage than is applied from a potentiometer 12 through the coupling condenser 9 to the load 2. (2) A special steady bias is applied to the diode to assist the initiation of the current of electrons, Fig. 4 (not shown). (3) The correcting valve 10 is connected in the grid circuit of the final valve 6 instead of in the anode circuit, Fig. 5. The correcting potential may be applied to the output lead 9, when the valve 6 merely reverses the phase of the signals, Fig. 6 (not shown). Specification 462,929 is referred to.
