Abstract
464,064. Television. MICHAELIS, E. June 22, 1936, No. 17356. Convention date, June 22, 1935. [Classes 40 (iii) and 40 (v)] Reaction is applied from the anode circuit of a cathode ray tube to its control grid. The signals applied at F, Fig. 1, to the control grid D of a cathode ray tube produce corresponding potential differences across a resistance in the anode - cathode circuit. These potential differences are applied to a valve K whose output is coupled over resistance H to the grid D. The grid circuit may be transformer coupled to the anode-cathode circuit, Fig. 2 (not shown). In Fig. 3, the potentials developed across the high resistance J, in dependence on the control potentials, modify the potential difference between the anode and cathode to reinforce the effect of the control potentials. The resistance J may be replaced by a choke or may be bridged by a condenser. In Fig. 4, the current from the fluorescent screen T flows in resistance J, from which tappings are taken to the control electrode D and the cathode E, so as to vary the potential difference between electrode D and cathode E in accordance with the control signals. Specification 403,876, is referred to.
