516,455. Cathode-ray tubes. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. June 30, 1938, No. 19444. Convention date, June 30, 1937. [Class 39 (i)] In a Braun tube emission is from a cold cathode K of point form ; it may project from a control electrode S, from which it is insulated. Emission is obtained by high voltage applied to a gauze or film N between the cathode and a lens E1-E3. The voltage of the first lens electrode E1 is less than that applied to the gauze. Alkaline coating may be applied to the point K.
