541,910. Cathode-ray tubes. PHILCO RADIO & TELEVISION CORPORATION. May 14, 1940, No 8644. Convention date, May 20, 1939. [Class 39 (i)] The screen of a cathode ray tube is formed as a flat, comparatively thick plate of glass &c. A with a rim C at right angles to it, tapered for sealing to the thin tapering body B of the tube. The edges of the rim C may be rounded or chamfered. The body of the tube may be of rectangular cross section with rounded comers.
