Abstract
456,717. Cathode-ray tubes; television. RADIOAKT.-GES. D. S. LOEWE, 10, Wiesenweg, Steglitz, Berlin. March 4, 1935, No. 25753/36. Convention date, March 31, 1934. Addition to 423,427 and divided out of 457,757, under which a Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Sept. 4, 1935. Drawings to Specification. [Classes 39 (i) and 40 (iii)] The two plates of at least one pair of deflecting plates operating in reverse phase or pushpull as described in the parent Specification are together given a positive or fluctuating bias relatively to the anode and luminous screen to compensate for the interference of the deflecting fields with the electron-optical system and to maintain the picture sharp at its edges. The tube described in Specification 457,757 and having a wall coating surrounding the plates and connected to the anode is operated with the bias on one or both pairs of plates positive and adjustable or fluctuating at the frequency, or twice the frequency, of the deflecting potentials.
