Abstract
456,331. Cathode ray tubes. RADIOAKT.-GES. D. S. LOEWE, 10, Wiesenweg, Steglitz, Berlin. March 4, 1935, No. 25754/36. Convention date, March 31, 1934. Addition to 423,427 and divided out of 457,757 and 6689/35 under which a Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Sept. 4, 1935. [Class 39 (i)] Cathode-ray tubes for television &c. and having one or both pairs of deflecting plates 13 .. 16 operated in reverse phase and negatively biassed relatively to the anode 12 as described in the parent Specification are provided with a coating 19 on the wall of the tube. The coating extends from near the anode 12 to near the picture screen and may be connected to the anode by a spring. The operation of the plates in reverse phase and ta negative bias may be carried out by transformers 35, 40 with centre tappings connected to adjustable tappings on a potentiometer 42 and enables the disturbing effect of the plates on the field of the electric lens 9, 12 to be compensated or the plates to act as additional concentrating means. The coating 19 ensures that the electrons after deflections again reach anode potential. Specifications 447,070, 452,650, and 457,757 are referred to.
