Abstract
473,673. Cathode-ray tubes. ZEITLINE, V., ZEITLINE, A., and KLIATCHKO, V. April 18, 1936, No. 16050/37. Convention date, April 19, 1935. Divided out of 473,893. [Class 39 (i)] The distortion of the raster produced by a deflection system in which one plate is maintained at a fixed potential is compensated by inclining the screen at an angle to the axis. As shown, the plate 4 is connected directly to the anode 3, and the plate 5 receives the deflecting voltage. A rectangular raster appears on the screen 17 and is observed from the scanned sides. Both deflecting systems may be of this kind and the screen may be tilted accordingly. The plate 5 may be subdivided by a longitudinal or diagonal cut and the parts may be connected to tappings on a potentiometer to which the deflection voltage is applied. A formula for the angle of inclination of the screen is given. Specification 442,500 is referred to.
