Abstract
671,102. Valve amplifying circuits. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. April 11, 1950 [April 14, 1949], No. 8859/50. Class 40 (vi). An amplifier giving a push-pull output from an unbalanced input comprises a first valve 1 of screen-grid type, to the grid of which the signal is fed, having as anode load a pair of resistances 3, 4 in series. The signal potentials developed across the resistance 3 are applied to the grid and cathode of a second valve 5, the connection to the grid being direct and to the cathode via a blocking condenser 7. The valve 2 is provided with load resistances 9, 10 in the cathode and anode circuits respectively, from which the push-pull output is obtained, while the D.C. potential drop across the cathode resistance 9 is utilized to supply the screen potential for the valve 1, resistance 20 and condenser 17 comprising decoupling components.
