574,626. Valve amplifying circuits. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd., SCULLY, C. T., and WATERS, H. A. Feb. 11, 1944, No. 2538. [Class 40 (v)] Relates to an amplifier comprising two valves in cascade, in which the grid of the. second valve is connected to the junction of two resistances, in series between the anode and cathode of the first valve, with a condenser connected across the resistance between said anode and grid. According to the invention, the condenser is chosen so that the total capacity C2 is equal to R1C1/R2, C1 being the total stray capacity across resistance R2. In this way, attenuation due to the stray capacity C1 is compensated for at all frequencies.
