Abstract

555,491. Valve amplifying circuits. KOLSTERBRANDES, Ltd., and ATKINSON, A. B. Feb. 20, 1942, No. 2275. [Class 40 (v)] A tone control is associated with a feedback path connecting the anode of the output stage to the anode of the preceding stage so arranged that at one limit of the control the higher frequencies are raised relatively to the lower frequencies and at the other limit are lowered. The Figure shows an output stage in which the elements C2, R5 and one arm of the potentiometer R4 form a normal tone control shunt across the output but with the elements C1, R1, R2 and the other arm of potentiometer R4 provide a feedback to the anode of the valve V1. If feedback is to be inoperative on one or more wavebands a simple switch may break the connections at the point P.
