Abstract

700,671. Valve amplifying circuits. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd. Jan. 19, 1949 [May 20, 1948], No. 13742/48. Class 40 (6) An arrangement of the cathode - follower type, whereby power is supplied to a load under control of a voltage source which itself provides only a small proportion of the total power, comprises a number of resistances R2, Fig. 1, connected in series with the source S and load TL, the load side of each resistance being connected to the cathode of a valve V and the control grid of each valve to the other terminal of the corresponding resistance via a source of positive bias GB. The driving source may-comprise, as shown, a grounded cathode amplifier, or a cathode-follower or grounded grid valve, Figs. 2, 3 (not shown). Specification 526,418 is referred to.
