Abstract

593,646. Valve amplifying and volume control circuits. DU MONT LABORATORIES, Inc., A. B. June 18, 1945, No. 15438. Convention date, June 17, 1944. [Class 40 (v)] In a gain control, the signal is applied to the grid 5 of one of a pair of valves arranged with cathode resistors, the output being taken from a tapping on a further resistor 17 connected between the two cathode resistors. The other control grid 11 may be held at a constant potential or in a modification, Fig. 2 (not shown), it is fed from the anode of the first valve over resistors, the first valve being provided with an anode load. The resistor 17 may be connected to a tapping on one of the cathode resistors.
