353,466. Spray carburetters. SVENSKA ACKUMULATOR AKTIEBOLAGET JUNGNER, 17, Riddaregatan, Stockholm. March 24, 1930, No. 9381. Convention date, Feb. 26. [Class 7 (iii).] In a carburetter having one or more annular spraying-orifices in the throat of the induction pipe, a calibrated orifice is arranged in advance of the spraying-orifice to produce a turbulent fuel flow. As shown in Figs. 3 and 4, the main fuel from a float chamber 1 is supplied through a chamber 14, a calibrated orifice 12 and a passage 13, a ring 11, and channels 10, 9 to an annular spraying-orifice 8 between cones 5, 6 in the induction pipe. The cone 6 has a smaller diameter than the cone 5 so as to produce an air whirl past the annular orifice 8, which has a height between À08 and À6 mm. and a breadth b of À5 to 3 mm. Fuel for acceleration is supplied to a well 17 open to the atmosphere at a. The well opens into the induction pipe through an orifice 15 and a chamber 16.
