351,519. Spray carburetters. SVENSKA ACKUMULATOR AKTIEBOLAGET JUNGNER, 17, Riddaregatan, Stockholm. March 24,1930, No. 9382. Convention date, Feb. 26. [Class 7 (iii).] In a spraying device for fuel having the form of one or m o r e narrow annular spaces at the throat of a carburetter, a pump is arranged to supply additional fuel when the throttle valve is suddenly opened. Fuel from the float chamber 1 passes through an orifice 12, chamber 13, ring 11, oblique channels 10, and a channel 9 to an annular space 8 between two cones 5, 6 in the induction pipe. The cone 6 has a smaller internal diameter than the cone 5, and an air whirl is produced. The space 8 is less than 0À6 mm. in height and is 0À5-3 mms. in breadth. Connected to the throttle valve 3 is a piston 20 which, when the throttle opens, forces extra fuel through the passage 16 to the channel 13. In modifications, the passage 16 opens directly into the cone 5, or another annular space similar to the space 8 is provided. The lower part 2a of the induction pipe is made integral with the float casing while the upper part 2b is made integral with the cover 4. Specification 353,466 is referred to.
