[Class 23.] A centrifugal air purifier is provided with an ante-chamber g forming a silencer, the air entering through a Venturi-shaped nozzle h. The nozzle may be located as shown in the Figure or arranged approximately tangential to impart an initial whirl to the air entering the chamber g. Baffles d form a number of helical channels around a frusto-conical member e, the outlet for the extracted matter being a slot f.
