Density separators. - An air-cleaner for internal-combustion engines comprises a tapering air way between a shell 3 and a cylinder 7 divided by helical vanes to cause a whirling motion, an outlet neck 2 and an annular recess 4 of circular cross-section and provided with tangential outlets 12 for solid particles. A dome 9 may be provided within the cylinder 7.
