273,529. Bradford, G. H., Bradford, R., Bradford, R. P., and Bradford, W. Sept. 17, 1926. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Spray carburettors.-To separate, dust &c. from the entering air, a. curtain or counterflowing stream of exhaust or other gas is maintained in advance of the air inlet of a carburettor, the air being drawn through the curtain or stream. As shown. the air inlet a is provided at the inlet end with a gauze screen b and is surrounded by an exhaust jacket c, the exhaust issuing through orifices g and forming a conical screen through which the air is drawn. The, air is warmed and humidified by the exhaust gases, a small proportion of which is drawn into the carburettor with the air.
