Abstract

209,580. Eastaway, W. A. Dec. 11, 1922. Plug connectors.- Where one or more of two or more spaced contact members is or are mounted eccentrically upon a rotatable base sc as to vary the distance between contact members a spring controlled conducting element provides a connection between such a contact member and a further conducting member. The Figure shows an adapter having a lamp holder plug and sockets 3, 4 the latter socket being rotatable to vary the pitch of the sockets. Spring pins 14 guided by an insulating member 20 slide in the lamp plug contacts 7 and engage the base of each socket. The rotatable mounting comprises a pin 11 in the side of the eccentric socket which travels in a groove in an insulating sleeve 12 screwed into the end of the adapter.
