Abstract
517,187. Lamp-holders. GROTE, E. R, and BRITISH ELECTRIC LAMPS, Ltd. July 21, 1938, No. 21728. [Class 38 (i)] A holder for tubular lamps with lateral unipolar contact caps 2 comprises a length 12 of moulded insulating material in which are embedded conductors 11 that are exposed at intervals in lamp sackets 13 formed in the moulding, bifurcated contacts being formed by the attachment of an L-shaped or D-shaped wire or plate as described in Specifications 431,332, [Group XI] and 517,186. The moulded length may have a terminal block 28 at one end or insulated conductors may be attached and moulded into the end, or plugs or sockets may be provided at the ends so that several lengths may be connected together to a screw ring 40, Fig. 11, and the other to a socket 41, these terminals being connected to similar terminals on an adjacent end by a screw sleeve 45 and a tube 42 enclosing telescopic pin contacts 43.
