533,118. Lamp caps. BRITISH THOMSONHOUSTON CO., Ltd., and SCOTT, W. J. Oct. 10, 1939, No. 27612. [Class 38 (i)] A cap for a tubular lamp having contact pins projecting in an axial direction from each end cap 4 and a guard over the pins to prevent accidental contact, as described in Specification 532,590 has the guard formed as a channel-shaped member 6 located transversely of the cap over the pins. The member 6 may be of metal or insulating material and may be formed integrally with the insulating cap 4. Holes 7 may be provided in the member 6 to facilitate soldering the lead-in wires 3 to the ends of the pins 5.
