Abstract
342,858. Current and pressure meters ; plug and swivelling couplings. BROWNE, H. C., 49, Hodford Road, Golders Green, and SANDERS, E. A., 116, Fordwych Road, Brondesbury, both in London. Jan. 3, 1930, No. 319. [Classes 37 and 38 (i).] The pins 10, 11 of the plug member for an instrument 1 are mounted on an insulating block 6 which is pivoted centrally to a projection 4 of the instrument casing. Contact pin 11 is electrically connected to a metal insert 3 in projection 4 through a link 12 and screw 5 while contact pin 10 is connected to a metal ring 9 on under-surface of block 6 which contacts with a spring-pressed plunger 8. The ring 9 has four recesses 13 with which the plunger 8 may engage to hold plug member in any one of the four positions. The swivelling part may be fitted with sockets instead of plugs.
