Abstract

188,251. Frommer, R. von. Dec. 23, 1921. Breech actions, drop-down barrel.-An horizontal top locking-bolt is operated by an underlever which is pressed upwards to unlock the breech. In the construction shown, the lever 1, pivoted at 2, is connected to the top bolt 10 by a pin and slot 8, 9. The lever is moved to the locking-position by a helical spring 3 acting through a lever 4 provided with a roller 7. The lever also actuates a locking bolt under the barrel. A spring catch on the end of the lever 1 engages a notch in the trigger-guard to retain the lever in the locking position.
