Abstract

573,210. Automatic guns. VESELY, J. June 10, 1941, No. 7355. [Class 119] A sub-machine gun of the mass-locked type having a semicircular breech-block 12 sliding upon a complementary semicircular hollow guide 11 as described in Specification 573,215, has a spring-retracted firing-pin 13 operated in the firing direction by a lever 15 pivoted in the breech-block and actuated as the breech-block closes, either by a sliding rod 17, Fig. 3, which contacts at 18 with the breech casing, or by a surface 26, Fig. 4, on a member 25 fast with the breech casing. In the form shown in Fig. 4, the member 25 is also furnished with a surface 27 which acts during recoil through the lever 15 positively to retract the firing pin.
