Description

R. v. FROMMER spomme GUN Filed Aug. 25, 1921 I 5:: L Z 1 i Patented Nov. 24 1925.
Application liled'August 25,1921. seiin No. 495,182.
f To all whom it may-concern: i Beitknown'that I, RUnoLF VON a citizen of Hungary, residlng at Budapest FnoMMER,
f and State of Hungary, have invented cert ain new and useful Imprqvementsinsport ingGuns, of which the following is a specification.
The subject of my present invention a' breech'lever specially adapted for sporting guns, which is operated by an upward pressure and furnished for the'barrel elongation with a bolting block, which is horizon- I 1 3 1 tally movable in the breech body and is con- .15 nected to the breech leyer by a slot and-pin v or the like, and'provided with a'locking elon- I (v gation. The lever is also furnished with cer- Y. tain arrangements, which secure it in-its I locked position. The present-leverdifiers from those, known already, also by being 1 brought into its locked position by aspiral I fsp'ring,farranged in a pressing organ, which is advantageously provided with'a roller. In-the-lattached drawingtheinvention is "represented by the example of a constructionalform. f
- Fig. '1' isa longitudinal section of the arrangement, with the breech lever in resting position. I
3O Fig. 2 is the same,jbut with pressed back lever, with drawn back bolting block and with bent down barrel. Fig. 3 is a cross section through the line III-III of Fig. 1. v V Fig. lis a horizontal section of the breech. Theilever l is pivoted on the pin 2 and is I under the effect of the spiralspring 3, which is embedded in the pressing element 1. f This pressing element is pivoted on the pint") and communicates the efieot o'f therspring 3 to thelever 1 by the aid of the roller 7, on the axis 6." Slidingly engaged by pin 8 with i 5 the slot 9 of the'lever'l there is a bolting "block 10, whichishorizo-ntally movable in lever 1; For fixing the lever 1'in the'lock i ca ,i IX. Soroksari ut 158, in the county of Pest the breech bodyand is provided with a'lock- 1 ing elongation 11 i which in the holding in the known manner by pressing back the ing position,there is arranged a slide 17,.
whose track of motion is of a difierent di- TGtlOIl from fthat'of lever 1.v This slidel'l' is under the effect of spring 18-and in; the locking position of lever 1 comes into connec-i tion with a' fixed part of the gun, for, instance with the; trigger guard 19; by means, of a notchon the same, and thus the lever lwill-be secured against an unintentional openlng movement. In consequencethe le-- ver 1 can be opened,'only 'byifirst press'-:
ing back the slide l7 against itsr s'pring. 18: and afterwards'pressing the lever 1 upwards; I
What I claim as new and desire'togsecureby Letters Patentis as follows:-' i
1. In combination with a breech-lever for sporting guns operable an upward pressure, a bolting block horizontally guided. in
the breech body, and connected. with the breech-lever, locking means on saidfiboltr. Q" 75. jf closed position, a'spring pressed'slide on the breech-lever adapted to engagein a'notch on ing block adapted to lock-the barrel in'i'ts.
a fixed part of the'gun 2. In combinationw sporting guns operable by an upward presth a breech-lever for l i sure, a bolting block horizontally guidedin;
the breechbody and connected with the breech-lever, locking means on said bolting block adapted to lock the barrel inits closed J position a spring pressed slide on' the breech-lever adapted to snap 'ina notchof the trigger guard in the locking position of. the breech lever. y
A '3. In combination withabreech-lever for j sporting guns operable by an upwardpres: sure, a bolting block horizontally guided in the breech body and connected with breech-lever, locking means on said bolting block adapted to lock thebarrel in itsgclosed' f f 9.5 breech body, aspiral'spring' on said pressing position, a pressing element hinged tO the element adapted to, press the breech. lever v into its locking position with the pressing element as intermediary. 1 7 4. In combination with a breechflever for sporting'guns operable by an upward pressure, a bolting block horizontally guided in the breech body .and connected with the breech-lever, locking ineans on said. bolting block adapted to lock the barrel in its closed position, a pressing element-hinged to the element adapted to press the breech leverinto its locking position. with the'pre'ssing and connected with said breech-lever, a stop lug 0n the bolting block, and a projection on the barrel adapted to be engaged by said 10 stop lug for fixing the barrel in its locked position. 1
In testimony whereof I afiix my signature.
