Air-heating fittings for use with fire - places. - An airheating device for use in open fire-places consists of a row of parallel tubes, open at each end, and clamped together, or a hollow conduit similar in shape to the combined tubes. The tubes a, upon the lower horizontal portions of which the fuel rests, are bent to conform to the back of the fire-place, and the open ends project for a short distance in front of the grate b. A space c is left between the upper ends of the tubes and' the top of the fireplace, and is controlled by a flap e which may carry an ornamental shield e' and which is slidable on the upper surfaces of the tubes to regulate the quantity of hot air passing to the room.
