[Class 126] [Also in Group XIII] A closed solid fuel stove or open fireplace has a fire-chamber 1 which opens above into a space 2 which communicates with down-draught combustion passages 3 at each side of the fire-chamber 1 their lower ends communicating with. rear vertically disposed sinuous passages 4, 5 leading to a main uptake flue 6 at the rear of the fire-chamber 1, the stove being provided with upwardly and downwardly circuitous air heating passages B, F supplied by a lower air inlet and positioned between the sides of the fire-chamber 1 and downdraught combustion passages 3. Sinuous passages A... F which may be made of copper, each supplying hot air as required to different rooms are arranged adjacent the fire-chamber 1, and combustion passages 3, 4, 5 and receive air for heating from supply channels V beneath the stove, vertically sinuous passages A, E being arranged at the sides of the stove, the passages B, F being vertically sinuous between the fire-chamber 1 and the combustion passages 3, 4, 5 and horizontally sinuous above the fire-chamber 1 and the combustion passages 3 and a third set of passages C, D being vertically sinuous behind the fire-chamber 1. The combustion passages may be reached through doors for cleaning purposes and a waterboiler K may be arranged behind the fire-chamber 1.
