Air-heating fittings.-An appliance for insertion into an ordinary fire-grate consists of horizontal and upwardly extending tube members joined by elbows, bends, or l i k e tabular junction pieces. In one form, Figs. 1, and 2, there is a single air inlet tube b and two outlet tubes d. In a modification, there are two inlet tubes, one at each side, and a single central outlet tube. Fig. 5 shows another form consisting of a coil or grid with an inlet tube b at one end and an outlet tube d' at the other. According to the Provisional Specification, the inlet and outlet tubes may be fitted to a chamber placed or fitted in the grate, and the outlet tubes may be prolonged and branched to conduct the heated air into another room.
