Abstract

116,494. Feroldi, E. June 1. 1917, [Convention date]. Spray carburettors.-The fuel nozzle 3 has, formed at its upper end, a cup-like chamber 12 which communicates with the interior of the nozzle through a restricted orifice 10 and a depending tube 11. The chamber 12 has a number of inclined fuel holes 14 and air holes 13. The interior of the nozzle 3 communicates through a conduit 14' with a rotatable plug 16, a port in which may be made to register more or less with a by-pass conduit 17 leading to the engine side of the throttle valve 2. The nozzle, is enclosed in a perforated bell 15.
