Spray carburettors.-The nozzle a has lateral orifices o<1>, n opening into a double-jacket b, c and an orifice o opening directly into the suction passage in the interior of the throttle y as described in Specification 2752/12. The invention consists in placing between the orifices n, o<1> a diaphragm M provided with an orifice m. The orifice o which serves for slow-speed running may he fed through m alone or through m, o<1>, n. At high speeds, mixture is supplied chiefly through orifices i, air entering at i<1> and passing through the chambers c<1>, c. The chamber c is filled with fuel up to the level L when the engine stops. In a modification, the orifice in the diaphragm , is dispensed with. Specifications 6870/08 and 23,287/08 are also referred to.
