Abstract

25,088. Soc. Anon. des Automobiles Delaunay-Belleville. Aug. 5, [Convention date]. Spray carburettors.-A spray carburettor A is used for normal speeds, and a surface carburettor B at low speeds. The carburettor B consists of a cylinder of gauze D standing in the fuel, with which it is saturated by capillary action. In place of the guaze, the air may bubble through or pass over the fuel. Air, admitted at b, is drawn through the gauze by the engine suction, and the resulting mixture is led by a pipe E and nozzle F to the casing H of the throttle valve.. This valve can be turned so as to place either of the carburettors A, B in communication with the induction pipe.
