Abstract

168,159. Lynch, P. J. May 31, 1920 Surface carburettors.- A mixture of air and hydrocarbon vapour, which is stated to act as a decarbonizer, is supplied to the induction pipe between the carburettor and the engine by a device comprising a container 10 for kerosene or other liquid hydrocarbon provided with an air inlet pipe 19 terminating at its lower end in a perforated coil 21, the container being closed by a cap 11 having a perforated disced portion 13 which forms with a cover-plate 16 a chamber 14 open to the engine suction through a pipe 18.
