Abstract

24,316. Wolseley Tool and Motor Car Co., and Remington, A. A. Nov. 2. Spray carburettors, such as are described in Specification 26,178/07, in which a suctionactuated weighted valve controls simultaneously the air and fuel supplies, are provided with an additional fuel supply which is controlled simultaneously with the throttle valve, whereby a comparatively weak mixture may be used at low powers, and a rich mixture, which may not be economical, at maximum power. The fuel valve d and air valve D are as described in the before-mentioned Specification. The additional supply is fed through a passage a to a chamber E, whence it passes by passages e<2>, e<3> to the additional nozzle on the carburettor side of the throttle C. The chamber E is open to the atmosphere through an orifice e<1> and the supply to the chamber is controlled by a valve f connected through a rod F and arm G to the throttle-valve spindle. In a modification, the chamber E is dispensed with, the fuel issuing directly into the mixing-chamber,
