Abstract

5503. Brock, D. T. April 12. Spray carburettors.-In carburettors wherein a regulated small quantity of air is admitted to a reservoir between a constricted fuel orifice and the spraying-orifice, the admission of the air is controlled by or simultaneously with means for controlling the main air or the mixture. Fuel from the float chamber g passes to the nozzles s by way of a constricted orifice e and reservoir h. Air is admitted to the reservoir through an orifice k in a plug j, and the amount admitted is controlled by a tapered needle valve m actuated from the main air valve d through the spindle o and lever p. In a modified construction having a single spraying- nozzle, the valve m is actuated from the throttle valve.
