Spray carburettors.-In carburettors having a restricted orifice b<1> in front of the fuel nozzle c and also a by-pass pipe d to which, upon variations of suction, fuel may flow instead of overflowing the nozzle, an air-admission pipe f is placed within the pipe d. The pipe f has an air inlet orifice e and outlet orifices f<1> so that the amount of air admitted to the fuel depends upon the fuel level in the pipe d which is connected to the nozzle by a pipe g, and has an orifice f<2> to prevent the formation of air pockets. In a modification, the by-pass pipe is placed between the fuel chamber a and the nozzle c. In a further modification, the fuel chamber, by-pass pipe, and nozzle are all concentric.
