Abstract

149,248. Violet, M. A. July 28, 1919, [Convention date]. Spray carburettors.-A carburettor which can be used with the heavier fuels and in which the fuel is reduced to a state of mist, comprises a carburetting chamber h with an air inlet valve i and a funnel j which directs the air over a nozzie k. Directly above the nozzle is an opening communicating through a pipe g with the top of the float chamber a which is otherwise hermetically sealed. The valve i may be on the engine side of the jet, but this arrangement is not so effective as that described above.
