6983. Metcalfe, H. W. May 10. Spray carburettors.-A fuel nozzle comprises a body portion D into which is screwed the jet portion A, the upper part of which receives the lantern - shaped piece C. This piece locks the part A and carries a deflecting- coue B, which serves to distribute the fuel in a thin film, which is readily taken up and vaporized by the air. The lower edges of the ports in the lantern C are at a level not higher than the jet orifice.
