1,137,879. Ring-frames; drafting apparatus. BIELSKA FABRYKA MASZYN WLOKIENNICZYCH-PRZEDSIEBIORSTWO - PANS TOWE WYDREBHIONE. 13 June, 1966 [16 June, 1965], No. 26311/66. Heading DID. In a ring-spinning frame, the output rollers 6, 7, 8 of the drafting head are positioned further from the spindle axis than the input rollers 3, 4. The arrangement tends to reduce the height and width of the frame; it also ensures that material breaking between the two sets of rollers hangs vertically so that it can be picked up by a suction nozzle 11 disposed as shown while it will also catch yarn breaking between the output rollers and the spindle. A false twist device 5 which may alternatively take the form of a driven tube (Fig. 3, not shown) is provided before the output rollers.
