Abstract

PURPOSE:To stop a spinning machine so as to reduce spun yarn breakage in restarting, by providing a normal yarn without slubs leading from a traveler engaging with a ring through a snail wire to a nipping point of a front roller. CONSTITUTION:When a spinning machine is changed over from normal operation for forming slubs to stopping operation, such as doffing, the operation for forming the slubs is suspended to prevent presence of slubs in a crossover yarn leading from a traveler 8 to a nipping point of a front roller in stopping. Thereby spun yarn breakage caused by the slubs can be prevented in restarting.
