Abstract

1,261,891. Bobbins. PLASTICISERS Ltd. 5 Feb., 1969 [20 Feb., 1968; 5 April, 1968], Nos. 8097/68 and 16402/68. Heading B8M. [Also in Divisions Dl-D2] A bobbin for use in a ring twister having a hollow spindle is provided with a notch 748 in its upper edge 732. In winding a yarn on to the bobbin, the leading end is drawn or blown through the hollow in the spindle 740 and nipped by a pair of rollers 742, 744. The yarn is then drawn down over a traveller 734 on a ring 736 and as the spindle rotates the yarn engages in the notch so that winding can commence.
