Abstract

1,190,528. Sliver guide for drawing frames. PRZBDZALNIE BAWELNY IM. GENERALA WALTERA. 4 Oct., 1968 [7 Oct., .1967], No. 47161/68.'Headings DID and D1N. Sliver is guided and twisted as it is fed from a can 1 to a drawing frame 6 along a path which includes at least one arched portion and at least one straight portion by means of helical members 3 and 4 positioned at the arched portion and in the straight portion of the path respectively. The straight helical member is positioned closely adjacent the drawing rolls 5 of a drawing frame, the casing of which supports the helical member. The arched helical member is mounted on a cross rod of a stand 7. A second arched helical member may be horizontally spaced from the first arched helical member, with a second straight helical member located between the arched .member, all three members being mounted on cross rods of the stand.
