1378177 Drafting JAMES MACKIE & SONS Ltd 8 June 1972 [18 June 1971] 28782/ 71 Heading D1D A drafting device comprises an apron 8 and set of rollers 14 between pairs of retaining and drawing rollers 1, 2 and 3, 4. There is also provided a supplementary apron 22 encircling only some of the rollers 14 including that nearest the drawing rollers 3, 4. The supplementary apron 22 may be of a width sufficient to control only a single sliver. Two supplementary aprons may be associated with a common apron 8.
