PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA PREPARACION DEL ESTER 1-METILICO DE LA N-L-BAB-ASPARTIL-L-FENILALANINA (ASPARTAMO).COMPRENDE LAS SIGUIENTES OPERACIONES: PRIMERA, LA MEZCLA BRUTA DE LOS ISOMEROS BAB Y BBB DEL ESTER METILICO DE LA N-FORMIL-L-ASPARTIL-L-FENIL-ALANINA, SE OBTIENE POR CONDENSACION ENTRE EL ANHIDRIDO N-FORMIL-L-ASPARTICO Y EL ESTER METILICO DE LA L-FENILALANINA; SEGUNDA, DICHA MEZCLA BRUTA SE DISUELVE EN UN DISOLVENTE ORGANICO TAL COMO EL ACETATO DE ETILO Y EN PRESENCIA DE ACIDO ACETICO, Y A CONTINUACION SE TRATA CON ACIDO FOSFORICO Y CON UN ALCOHOL ALQUILICO INFERIOR, PARA OBTENER EL FOSFATO DE ASPARTAMO; Y POR ULTIMO, EL FOSFATO DE ASPARTAMO OBTENIDO SE DISUELVE EN AGUA Y SE NEUTRALIZA SEGUIDAMENTE UTILIZANDO UNA BASE INORGANICA, PARA OBTENER EL ASPARTAMO LIBRE Y PURO.DE APLICACION COMO AGENTE EDULCORANTE EN ALIMENTOS Y BEBIDAS.
