Abstract
Pigmentos de óxido de hierro estables frente a la oxidación con un contenido de hierro(II) de al menos el 5 % en peso, calculado como FeO, que presentan un revestimiento orgánico, caracterizados por que el revestimiento está constituido por uno o varios compuestos orgánicos de fórmula general (I) XOaR3b(OR2)cR1d, en la que X representa P o S y R3 representa Cl, NH2 o OM, siendo M hidrógeno, un compuesto de amonio o un metal alcalino, y R2 y R1 en cada caso representan un resto alifático saturado lineal o ramificado con 1 a 15 átomos de C, o representan un resto aromático con de 6 a 14 átomos de C, que se deriva de benceno, naftaleno o antraceno y que eventualmente está mono- o polisustituido con halógeno y/o NH2 y/o OH y/o NHR y/o NR2 y/o OR y/o R, siendo R un resto alifático saturado o insaturado lineal o ramificado con en cada caso de 1 a 10 átomos de C o un resto alicíclico o aromático eventualmente sustituido con en cada caso de 6 a 10 átomos de C, y en la que cuando X representa P, es a >= 1, b >= 2, c >= 0 y d >= 1, o cuando X representa S, es a >= 2, b >= 1, c >= 0 y d >= 1, de modo que es a+b+c+d>=4 y los pigmentos de óxido de hierro presentan una estabilidad frente a la oxidación de acuerdo con el ensayo de estabilidad frente a la oxidación de >= 10 ºC en comparación con el pigmento de óxido de hierro no revestido.

continuación aún a un proceso de granulación.
La invención se refiere también al uso de los pigmentos de óxido de hierro para la coloración de materiales de construcción unidos con cal y/o cemento, para la coloración de plásticos, barnices, colorantes de dispersión y para la fabricación de soportes de grabación magnéticos y tóneres.
Los materiales de construcción unidos con cal y/o cemento son preferentemente hormigón, mortero de cemento, enfoscado y/o arenisca calcárea. Los pigmentos de óxido de hierro se mezclan con los materiales de construcción en una cantidad del 0,1 % al 10 % en peso, con respecto al cemento. Sin embargo, pueden suspenderse también en primer lugar en agua y a continuación mezclarse con los materiales de construcción.
Los pigmentos de óxido de hierro pueden usarse ventajosamente para la fabricación de materiales de grabación magnéticos de cualquier tipo, tal como por ejemplo cintas de audio y vídeo, cintas de instrumentación, cintas para ordenador, tarjetas magnéticas, discos magnéticos flexibles, placas magnéticas rígidas o memoria de tambor.
El objeto de la invención de la presente invención resulta no solo del objeto de las reivindicaciones individuales, sino también de la combinación de las reivindicaciones individuales entre sí. Lo mismo se aplica para todos los parámetros divulgados en la descripción y sus combinaciones discrecionales.
Por medio de los siguientes ejemplos se explica en más detalle la invención, sin que mediante esto deba producirse una limitación de la invención. Las indicaciones de cantidad realizadas de las respectivas adiciones en % en peso se refieren en cada caso al pigmento usado.
I. Descripción de los procedimientos de medición usados
I.1 Ensayo de estabilidad frente a la oxidación
La prueba de la estabilidad frente a la oxidación se realizó de acuerdo con un procedimiento de ensayo para sustancias que están sujetas a un autocalentamiento oxidativo, que se describe en “Empfehlungen für die Beförderung gefährlicher Güter -Handbuch über Prüfungen und Kriterien” de las Naciones Unidas en la tercera edición revisada de la traducción alemana del Instituto Federal de Investigación y Ensayo de Materiales en parte III, capítulo 33.3.1.6.1 a 33.3.1.6.3, página 338.
Horno: un horno con circulación de aire caliente y un volumen interno de más de 9 l, que está ajustado de modo que puede mantener de manera exacta la temperatura teórica ajustada en el interior hasta ± 2 ºC.
Recipiente de muestras: recipiente de muestras cúbico de 10 cm de longitud de borde de red de alambre de acero inoxidable de 350 de ancho de malla con lado superior abierto. Este recipiente de muestras debe colocarse en un recipiente protector cúbico de 10,8 cm de longitud de borde de alambre de acero inoxidable de 8 de ancho de malla. El recipiente de muestras no tiene en las esquinas superiores ninguna barra de sujeción, con lo que puede suspenderse libremente y de manera centrada en el recipiente protector. El recipiente protector está sobre pilotes elevados, con lo que puede colocarse en el centro del armario de secado.
Medición de la temperatura: el registro de la temperatura en la muestra se realiza por medio de elemento térmico de revestimiento de NiCrNi con 1,5 mm de diámetro. Este elemento térmico puede disponerse en el centro de la muestra. El registro de la temperatura y la regulación del horno se realiza por medio de un termómetro de resistencia de platino PT 100, que se introduce hacia el interior de la cámara del horno y está dispuesto entre recipientes de muestra y pared del horno. Las dos temperaturas pueden medirse continuamente.
Preparación de muestras: la muestra en forma de polvo o granulada se introduce en primer lugar hasta la mitad en el recipiente de muestras y el recipiente puede recalcarse tres veces ligeramente desde aproximadamente 3 cm de altura. Entonces se llena el recipiente de muestras hasta el borde con la muestra en forma de polvo o granulada y el recipiente se recalca ligeramente de nuevo tres veces desde aproximadamente 3 cm de altura. Cuando se deposite la muestra puede llenarse posteriormente hasta el borde. El recipiente de muestras puede colocarse de manera centrada en el recipiente protector y el recipiente protector puede colocarse en el centro del horno.
Condiciones de prueba: la temperatura del horno se ajusta en primer lugar hasta una temperatura teórica de 120 ºC y se mantiene al menos durante 20 horas. La temperatura en el interior de la muestra ha de registrarse. Cuando la temperatura en la muestra durante la duración del ensayo supera la temperatura del horno en 60 ºC, entonces es positivo el resultado del ensayo de estabilidad frente a la oxidación, dado que en la muestra se ha producido un autocalentamiento como consecuencia de una oxidación. En un caso de este tipo se realiza de nuevo el ensayo de estabilidad frente a la oxidación con una muestra preparada nuevamente a una temperatura teórica del horno reducida 10 ºC. Esto ha de repetirse hasta que el ensayo proporcione un resultado negativo, es decir la temperatura en el interior de la muestra durante la duración del ensayo no supera la temperatura del horno en 60 ºC, de modo que no se produce ningún autocalentamiento de la muestra como consecuencia de una oxidación -unida con un aumento de la temperatura de más de 60 ºC.
